2019-20 Conversational Greek

This program is only open to students who are currently enrolled at St. George Friday or Saturday Greek School, as a supplement to their current instruction.  This year the program will be offered for FREE. This program will only focus on developing the students' listening and speaking skills to increase conversational capabilities. During the hour long sessions, students will engage in real life scenarios with hands on props, focused on conversational Greek.  Each week, Kyria Chara, will engage the students in a different topic. There will be no homework. Space in this program is extremely limited. If a child misses more than 3 classes, then they forfeit their spot so another child can join the class.  Spaces are filled in the order the registration forms are submitted online.
There are a total of 20 classes spanning throughout the school year.

College Student Contact Info/YAL Registration

Dear College Student,

Please fill out the following form, it is so that you can remain connected with the Orthodox Church when you begin school. If you are going away for school, we will share your contact information with the nearest Orthodox Church to your school and the local OCF (Orthodox Christian Fellowship, OCF.net). In this way you can remain connected to the Orthodox Church, even though you will be away from your home parish of St. George's.

If you are staying local for school or just staying local, you will be invited to attend St. George's YAL (Young Adult League) events. All members of St. George, ages 18-35, are encouraged to join the vibrant ministry of the Young Adult League (YAL). YAL meets the first Saturday of each month and takes off where GOYA left off. YAL generally meets on the first Saturday of each month.

Should you have any questions, please contact our Lay Pastoral Assistant Simeon Pardalis at  SimeonP@stgeorge.org or 301-469-7990.

Thank you!

All the best with your studies!

May Christ our God Bless you!
